Privacy Policy
Ballfitdb (“Ballfitdb”, “we”) operates ballfitdb.com and the Ballfitdb iOS app. This policy describes what we collect, why, who we send it to, and how you can delete it.
What we collect
- Account. Name, email, and a password hash if you sign up with email. Google or Sign in with Apple may share the name and email those services provide.
- Athlete file. Birthday, gender, country, height, weight, position, training days, nutrition goal, program, and trainer picks. We use these to size fuel targets and assign a plan. You must be 13 or older.
- Training log. Workouts, sets, XP, combines, playlists, meals, and Team Chat messages.
- Wall photos. Camera photos you take to post a session. They stay on your device unless a later Wall upload is turned on.
- Device. An Apple Push Notification token so we can send coach notes you opted into.
- Purchases. App Store transaction identifiers (and Stripe identifiers on the web) so membership can be restored.
Analytics
We use PostHog to count product events (sign-in, onboarding finished, workouts started, paywall viewed). We identify you by our internal user id. We do not send birthday, height, weight, photos, passwords, or HealthKit data to PostHog. We do not use this data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not sell it.
Coach AI (third-party AI)
Team Chat, AI workout search, and coach notes send personal training data to third-party AI so a coach can answer you. We name those processors here and ask for a separate Allow before the first send. A Terms checkbox is not that permission.
- Sail Research. generate Team Chat replies and rank workouts for AI search.
- OpenRouter (Jev). choose which training facts a coach needs for that turn.
When you Allow Coach AI, we may send:
- Messages you type in Team Chat or AI search
- Age, gender, position, country, height, and weight
- Your program, fuel days, nutrition goal, and calculated macros
- Recent workouts, meals, combine scores, XP, and saved playlists
We do not send:
- Your name, email, or password
- Wall photos
- Your exact birthday
We do not use Coach AI data for advertising. You can turn Coach AI off in Profile. Chat and AI search then stop calling those processors. Workouts, nutrition, and evals still work.
Other processors
- Convex. Hosts the app database and authentication.
- Apple. Sign in, push notifications, and in-app purchases.
- Google. Optional Google sign-in.
- Resend. Password-reset email from hello@ballfitdb.com.
- Stripe. Web membership checkout only. iOS membership is billed by Apple.
These processors are required to protect your data at least as well as this policy. We do not sell personal information.
Health and fitness
Height, weight, birthday, meals, and workouts are health and fitness data used to run your program and, if you Allow Coach AI, to brief a coach. Ballfitdb is training software, not medical care. We do not read or write Apple HealthKit.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account until you delete it. In the iOS app, Profile → Delete account removes your profile, logs, chats, devices, and login records from our systems. On the web, use Account → Delete account. You can also email hello@ballfitdb.com. We complete deletion within 30 days unless a law requires a shorter or longer hold (for example tax records of a purchase).
Deleting your Ballfitdb account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (or Manage billing on the web for Stripe).
Your choices
- Edit your athlete file in Profile.
- Turn Coach AI off in Profile.
- Sign out to revoke the current session.
- Delete your account as described above.
- Disconnect Google or Apple from that provider’s account settings.
Children
Ballfitdb is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly create accounts for them.
